Today in the building of the capital mayor's office took place the inauguration ceremony of the head of the administration of the City of Maikop. The head of the Republic of Adygea Murat Kumpilov took part in the event,- adygheya.ru reports.
Earlier, following the results of the work of the competition committee, 2 candidates for the post of mayor were registered. As a result of the vote, the deputies of the Council of the city of Maikop by a majority vote elected Gennady Mitrofanov to the post of mayor.
Gennady Alekseevich Mitrofanov began his career in the administration of Maikop, where he worked for 8 years. Then, in different years, he held leading positions in the Ministry of Labor and Social Development of the Republic of Adygea, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic, and the Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic. From 2020 to the present, he was the Prime Minister of the Republic of Adygea.
The head of Adygea congratulated the new head of the municipality and outlined the main directions of future work. Murat Kumpilov noted that as the prime minister of the republic, Gennady Mitrofanov successfully coordinated the implementation of national projects. The experience gained, understanding of the existing problems in the economy and social sphere will greatly help in the work ahead.
