Why is Abkhazia inviting Ukrainian refugees and not inviting Circassians?

The administration of the city of Sukhum, in connection with the aggravation of the situation in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, offered the heads of the administration of Donetsk and Lugansk, if necessary, to receive residents of the cities in the capital of Abkhazia,- sukhumcity reports.

On behalf of Sukhum Mayor Beslan Eshba, Deputy Mayors Avtandil Surmanidze and Astamur Ashuba contacted the heads of administration of Donetsk and Luhansk by phone. The heads of Donetsk and Luhansk Alexei Kulemzin and Manolis Pilavov thanked the Administration of Sukhum for the proposal.

For 11 years of the Syrian civil war, we have not heard a single such statement from the Abkhaz about the Circassian refugees.
