Vice-Chancellor of Germany Habek does not rule out the halt of Nord Stream 2

Vice-Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany , Federal Minister of Economy and Climate Protection Robert Habeck supported the decision of the federal government not to interfere with the approval of the controversial Nord Stream 2 (SP-2) gas pipeline and to consider it solely from a legal point of view,- DW reports.

However, he did not rule out the possibility of stopping the project depending on the development of the conflict around Ukraine.

"We are a rule-of-law state, and permits are issued in accordance with the law," Habek said in the heute journal broadcast of the German TV channel ZDF on Wednesday evening, December 29.
